About Bali Tourism Polytechnic

Founded in 1978, Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) was established to meet the growing demand for skilled human resources in the tourism and hospitality industry, following recommendations from UNDP and ILO (1972). Initially known as the Bali Hotel and Tourism Education and Training Center (P4B) and located in Nusa Dua, the institution focused on vocational and pre-vocational training for local communities.

Over time, the institution evolved through several transformations—from BPLP Bali to Nusa Dua Bali Tourism Institute (STPNB)—expanding its academic programs from Diploma levels to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. In 2019, STPNB officially became Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) under the Ministry of Tourism.

Today, Poltekpar Bali offers two departments, ten study programs, and one postgraduate program, and serves as a key institution in developing professional human resources for Indonesia’s tourism sector.
